Gateway LT2114u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Over 10 Hours of Battery Life Review

Gateway LT2114u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Over 10 Hours of Battery Life
I looked for a netbook for service as an Emergency Communications
computer to take into the field. I needed Win XP, long battery
life and small size and light in weight.

I chose the Gateway on its specs and I am not disappointed.
Amazingly, the keyboard size is almost the same as my
desktop keyboard; that made the transition easy.
I needed Win XP because the software I use was written
for XP and I don’t need any surprises in the field
with Win 7 or others.

Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Cell BatteryReview by pithhelmut (Massachusetts)
Satisfied Rating (6/10)

I love the netbook physical keyboard and the ease of finding wireless networks and battery life. These are very good. But I do not have Word, Excel is not! Who was the idea of leaving him out? I have not used the most. Has so many stupid, unnecessary things. I do not want McAfee and other software that are stupid for photos, etc. What is the idea of loading computers these days to waste? I do not doo-dad. Only a machine can work. It might play a little 'and wipe and reload with what you want. But that does not make it ready for use at the time of purchase. If it came with good software, would be excellent.

Samsung N120-12GW 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 6 Cell BatteryReview by Eric B. Wolf (Boulder, CO USA)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

The short story: This is a great Netbook. In general, all netbooks are pretty similar. What makes it great is all the details are surprisingly well covered.

Previously I had this little Acer Travelmate, which was about an 8 "screen. This was around 2000. I put a larger hard drive and upgraded to 768MB of RAM (was 2000). It 'was a great companion. I also used for a large number of databases in Microsoft Access and used occasionally churn my phone connected to the SSH server. This was, of course, before WiFi could find almost anywhere.

As computer networks work well, and we hope, is the most time, the inner workings of the system modules transparent for the average user. The most common components on a computer network, cable not included are "router", "hubs" and "switch". Many of these modules may be similar cosmetically. Each module typically has Ethernet ports (RJ45, which looks like an oversized phone plug) and LED displays. However, do these modulesdifferent, and it is important to understand the differences.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N313/P 10.1-Inch Posh Pink Netbook - 9 Hour Battery LifeReview by C. Santacruz (Westminster, CA)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

I Love this laptop! I actually sold my 17 "Toshiba laptop, because it is so heavy (about 9 kg) to carry around at school and since I already have a desktop at home, this netbook is perfect for taking notes in school. It 'just too cute, I like the look of it. I also like the feel of the keyboard is not so cheap, it's like the keyboard of the MacBook. really advisable if you need it for school. The one is what I would CD / DVD, but I suspect that the reason it is so easy, I need to buy an external download Microsoft Office. complex is a good product.

Toshiba Mini NB205-N313/P 10.1-Inch Posh Pink Netbook - 9 Hour Battery LifeReview by Ishmael Z. Phillips (USA)
Satisfied Rating (8/10)

The Toshiba netbook just feels like a winner, but looks like one, too. Ribbed finish on the case helps to minimize fingerprints.

All the main positive points have been documented by other reviewers, but I had one correction "that I felt needed to be done. If you notice that a reference to the plastic panel below the unit that houses the RAM. The other, more large panel is not made. It has two Torx screws that hold it in place. It is here that the hard disk. Because I'm going to change discs, I had to find the right Torx bit. IA * and Hardware. The size is T6. Then I realize that would always be this piece I decided to spend the next two screws at each end of the battery 6 volts with the T6 screws to use. End of problem.

Gateway LT2041u 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - Over 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Gateway LT2041u 10.1-Inch Red Netbook - Over 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I purchased this netbook about a month ago and I can’t put it down. I take it everywhere. The display is crystal clear and the keyboard is just the right size. It does collect finger prints, but as long as you don’t touch the display who cares. I had only one issue so far and the service was great. I can’t say it’s the fastest (2 weeks), but it’s fixed. I had to have the keyboard replaced under warranty. Let’s just say it someone got a hold of it when daddy wasn’t looking. I was able to get it from Amazon for 9 with free shipping…I put in a Western Digital Scorpio 320GB 7200RPM drive…upgraded the memory to 2GB…and put in a 8GB SD card for ReadyBoost (didn’t see a difference with the ReadyBoost). I was able to clone the hard drive, so I didn’t lose any special software or setup. The best part was I didn’t have to try and reinstall an OS. The processor is ok…the reason why I bought this model is because I can’t stand the touchpads on the newer netbook models and there really isn’t that big of a difference between the N280 and N450 chipset. This netbook is completely loaded. It’s perfect for small applications, surfing the net, and doing email. I just put MS Office 2010 Beta on it without any issues. This is my first Gateway and being a computer specialist I was a little nervous, but not anymore.
