Laptops Built For Gaming - Are They Worth the Price?
There are special laptops are built for games. They have large screens, high resolutions, the fancy graphics cards and other nice things.
Should you pay more for one of these models? It depends on the type of games you want to play.
Before you buy a laptop, sit down and figure out what you do. If you want to play games, then make a list of the top 5 games you want to play.
Suppose you want to play World of Warcraft. Go to Google andSearch: World of Warcraft System Requirements - so you will be taken to a website that tells you what kind of computer you need to play the game.
They recommend a dual-core processor, 1 to 2 GB of RAM and a graphics card with 128 MB of video RAM. They tell you exactly what you need to buy.
Make a list of system requirements for your top 5 games. Then make a note of these characteristics on a piece of paper to go shopping.
If you have a dedicated gaming laptop purchase, and youcan afford it, then buy one. If you do not need one, do not buy then.
Basically, the rule of thumb: Do not buy more than necessary, but do not buy less than you need either.
If you are buying a laptop to play games, make sure that the laptop you buy the games they want to play you are playing will be.
But if you buy a laptop to surf the Web and send e-mails, then you do not need any fancy gaming laptop. Buy a basic model.
