Mini Laptops 101 - Compare Mini Laptops With Standard Laptops
What are mini-laptops? These small but mighty miracles are actually the smaller cousins of the standard laptop. If you think you've never seen one, then only the times when you came on to a computer store and marveled at how cute that laptop.
Mini-laptops are fast becoming a global sensation, because in addition to being easy, they are also light on the pocket. But how do they compare against a standard laptop?
Over the years, the development of a stripped down,diminished laptop has developed, and as is the standard laptops, most mini-notebooks now come with an operating system (Windows or Linux), basic software, extensive storage, entertainment options and Internet connectivity. Nevertheless, the minis standard laptops are based on these characteristics clearly:
Price
Mini-laptops are in the range of $ 100 to $ 500, which make them very affordable to virtually anyone. Standard laptops cost $ 800 to $ 1500 andup.
Weight
They weigh only about two pounds, while standard laptops weigh generally closer to six pounds.
Screen
Mini-laptops have screens three or four inches wide, while standard laptops have 15-17 inch display.
The good thing about netbooks is that they have significant memory from 512 to 2GB, with storage space ranging from 16 GB to 160 GB. If you exceed the storage capacity of your files, you can easily upgrade with flash drives andMemory cards.
With these small laptops, you can easily create MS Office documents, read e-mails, watch movies, listen to music, take photos and chat with your friends and surf the Internet, among others.
Probably the only downside to these little laptops that they have smaller keyboards than standard laptops. Some computer users might find it uncomfortable to type on smaller key for a longer period.
Whether you go as the mini-laptopsStandard laptops of the future remains to be seen. But it is doubtful that the standard laptops will be obsolete. It looks like there are certain jobs that are large screens and more processing power that the power required exceeds the current generation of ultra-portable notebook computers. Tasks that are currently unsuitable for a mini-intensive graphic design and 3D-rendering jobs.
