I bought one for my wife and liked it so much that I ordered a 2 for me.
Three words for this netbook: stylish, compact, slim. I was skeptical to get 1008HA vs. 1005HA because of battery life, but if you travel frequently in Europe (which is a trip from U.S. 12 hours) may not need a computer all day. 4.5 hours with bright screen and half wi-fi (or 6 hours no WiFi / BT and lowest brightness) is what you get in this little machine. The ports listed are impressive and really makes this look cheap and original PC. Everyone in the office asks me why compared to other netbooks, it is really thin. Regarding the upgrade to 2GB, you see when you are running WinXP with desktop computers to measure, antivirus and antispyware you have more or less than 416MB of RAM. 584MB others can use to ppts (Internet Explorer, Outlook and iTunes) and you'll be fine. I have a friend who has upgraded to 2GB, the 1008HA and really does not feel faster (performance wise). Windows 7 requires a minimum of 1GB of RAM for a 32bit, so when the final version comes out will be the perfect race. I would give 5 stars only because $ 400 Bucks makes it really worth the price is 1/4th of a MacBook Air. Not regret it.
